I’m Heidi — a small-town photographer, creative, and proud mom of three kids ranging from middle school to high school. I’m in the thick of busy schedules, senior year milestones, and all the moments in between — which is exactly why I care so deeply about preserving this season of life. My faith is at the center of everything I do, guiding how I approach both my family and my work, and inspiring me to celebrate life’s everyday blessings through my photography.

As the heart behind Heidi Peterson Photography, I specialize in creating timeless, genuine images that feel authentic, connected, and full of heart. I earned my bachelor’s degree in photography from Southern Illinois University, where I built the technical foundation and artistic eye that continue to shape my work today. My goal is always the same: to create images that truly reflect your family, your faith, and the season you’re in.

Sunrises (orsunset), flowers, and front porch chats — my favorite spot in the summer! Add in my husband and our sweet basset hound, Emmie, and it's a perfect morning (or evening).

Oh, the places you'll go!
Travel teaches lessons no classroom ever could. My kids and I seek adventures whenever we can, turning each journey into a memory on our “adventure wall.” Every day we pass by it and dream about where the next road might lead.
